Cinderella's Enchanted Night. Part 1
The Forgotten Invitation
Once upon a time, in a faraway kingdom, lived a kind-hearted girl named Cinderella. She had golden hair that shimmered in the sunlight and eyes as blue as the summer sky. Cinderella lived with her wicked stepmother and two stepsisters, who treated her terribly. They made her do all the chores and never allowed her to enjoy herself.
One day, an invitation arrived at their home. It was for a grand ball at the royal palace, where the prince would choose his bride. Cinderella's stepmother and stepsisters were ecstatic. They spent days preparing their gowns and making sure they looked perfect. But they refused to let Cinderella go to the ball.
Cinderella's heart sank, but she didn't argue. She helped her stepmother and stepsisters get ready, watching them leave for the ball with a heavy heart. She went to her little room and sat by the window, looking out at the starry night.
"Oh, how I wish I could go to the ball," she whispered.
The Fairy Godmother
Just as a tear rolled down her cheek, a soft, shimmering light filled the room. Cinderella turned and saw a beautiful woman with sparkling wings and a warm, gentle smile.
"Don't be sad, dear Cinderella," the woman said. "I am your Fairy Godmother, and I'm here to help you."
Cinderella's eyes widened with wonder. "Really? But how?"
The Fairy Godmother waved her wand, and in an instant, a pumpkin from the garden turned into a magnificent golden carriage. Mice scurrying in the corners transformed into elegant horses, and a lizard by the door became a coachman. Then, with another wave, Cinderella's tattered dress changed into a stunning gown made of shimmering silver and gold, and delicate glass slippers appeared on her feet.
"Now, you can go to the ball," the Fairy Godmother said, "but remember, the magic will only last until midnight. You must return before the clock strikes twelve."
Cinderella nodded, her heart filled with joy. "Thank you, Fairy Godmother!"
The Grand Ball
Cinderella climbed into the golden carriage and rode to the palace. As she entered the grand ballroom, everyone turned to look at her. She was the most beautiful girl they had ever seen, and even her stepmother and stepsisters didn't recognize her.
The prince, captivated by her beauty and grace, walked straight to her. "May I have this dance?" he asked, bowing low.
Cinderella blushed and nodded. They danced together, twirling and laughing, lost in each other's company. For the first time in her life, Cinderella felt truly happy and free.
As the evening went on, Cinderella and the prince talked and danced, enjoying every moment. But as she danced, she noticed the clock ticking closer to midnight.
The Midnight Dash
The clock began to chime, and Cinderella remembered the Fairy Godmother's warning. She pulled away from the prince and rushed out of the ballroom.
"Wait!" the prince called after her. "I don't even know your name!"
But Cinderella didn't stop. She ran down the grand staircase, losing one of her glass slippers in her haste. She climbed into the golden carriage just as the clock struck twelve. The magic began to fade, and by the time she reached home, she was back in her tattered dress, the carriage and horses gone.
Breathless, she clutched the remaining glass slipper and whispered, "Thank you, Fairy Godmother."
The Search for Cinderella
The next morning, the kingdom buzzed with news of the mysterious girl who had captured the prince's heart. The prince himself set out to find her, carrying the glass slipper she had left behind. He visited every house in the kingdom, determined to find the girl whose foot fits the slipper.
When he arrived at Cinderella's house, her stepmother and stepsisters eagerly tried on the slipper, but it didn't fit. Just as the prince was about to leave, he noticed Cinderella peeking out from the kitchen.
"May I try?" she asked softly.
Her stepmother and stepsisters laughed, but the prince nodded. To everyone's astonishment, the slipper fit perfectly. Cinderella took out the other slipper from her pocket and put it on, revealing herself as the girl from the ball.
The prince's eyes lit up with joy. "It's you! Will you marry me?"
Cinderella smiled tears of happiness in her eyes. "Yes, I will."
Happily Ever After
Cinderella and the prince were married in a grand ceremony, and the whole kingdom celebrated their love. The Fairy Godmother watched from afar, her heart filled with joy for Cinderella.
From that day on, Cinderella and the prince ruled the kingdom with kindness and grace. Cinderella's days of toil and sadness were over, and she lived happily ever after, always remembering the magic of that enchanted night.
And every night, she would tell her children the story of her magical adventure, ending with the same wish she had made long ago:
"May all your dreams come true."
