Sam, The Good Samaritan
The Journey Begins
Once upon a time in a bustling village, there lived a young boy named Sam. Sam was known for his kind heart and cheerful spirit. One sunny morning, he decided to travel to the neighboring town to visit his grandmother. He packed a small bag with some food and water and set off on his journey.
The path to the neighboring town was long and winding, cutting through fields and forests. Sam walked happily, enjoying the sights and sounds of nature. He waved at farmers working in their fields and sang songs to the birds flying overhead.
Trouble on the Road
As the sun climbed higher in the sky, Sam found himself in a lonely stretch of road. Suddenly, he heard a commotion ahead. Hurrying to see what was happening, he found a man lying by the side of the road, hurt and unable to move.
The man had been attacked by robbers and was in desperate need of help. Several people passed by, but no one stopped to help him. Sam felt a pang of sympathy in his heart and knew he had to do something.
The Act of Kindness
Sam approached the injured man and knelt beside him. "Are you okay? Can I help you?" he asked gently.
The man, weak and in pain, looked up at Sam with gratitude. "Please, I need water and someone to help me get to safety," he whispered.
Sam gave the man some water from his bag and carefully helped him to his feet. The injured man leaned on Sam as they slowly made their way down the road. Sam remembered a small inn not far from where they were and decided to take the man there.
Safe Haven
They arrived at the inn, and Sam explained the situation to the innkeeper. The kind innkeeper immediately offered a room and promised to take care of the injured man. Sam helped the man settle into a comfortable bed and made sure he had everything he needed.
Before leaving, Sam handed the innkeeper a small pouch of coins. "Please take care of him and make sure he gets better. I'll be back to check on him soon," Sam said.
The innkeeper nodded, impressed by Sam's generosity and kindness. "You're a good boy, Sam. The world needs more people like you," he said.
A Grateful Heart
After ensuring the injured man was safe, Sam continued his journey to his grandmother's house. When he arrived, he told her about his adventure and the man he had helped.
His grandmother smiled warmly and hugged him. "I'm so proud of you, Sam. You've shown great kindness and compassion. Remember, helping others is one of the greatest things we can do."
A few days later, Sam returned to the inn to check on the injured man. To his delight, the man was recovering well and was deeply grateful for Sam's help. They became good friends, and the man never forgot the boy who had shown him such kindness.
