The Tiny Egg
One sunny morning, a tiny egg lay on a leaf. As the warm sun rose, the egg hatched, and out came a very hungry caterpillar.
The caterpillar was so small and hungry that it immediately began to look for food.
The First Day of Feasting
On the first day, the hungry caterpillar found an apple and ate through it. Despite eating the entire apple, the caterpillar was still hungry.
It continued its search for more food, eager to satisfy its growing appetite.
A Week of Eating
Throughout the week, the caterpillar ate through various fruits. On Monday, it ate through two pears. On Tuesday, it ate through three plums.
On Wednesday, it ate through four strawberries, and on Thursday, it ate through five oranges. By the end of the week, the caterpillar was still hungry and decided to eat even more.
A Stomachache
On Saturday, the caterpillar ate a variety of foods, including chocolate cake, ice cream, pickles, cheese, salami, a lollipop, cherry pie, sausage, a cupcake, and watermelon.
That night, the caterpillar had a terrible stomachache and realized it had eaten too much.
The Transformation
The next day, the caterpillar ate through one green leaf, which made it feel much better. It wasn't hungry anymore and was now a big, fat caterpillar.
It built a small house called a cocoon around itself and stayed inside for more than two weeks. Then, it nibbled a hole in the cocoon, pushed its way out, and emerged as a beautiful butterfly.
